Train IR 2163 “Alpsee” (Oberstdorf – Berlin Zoologischer Garten), led by locomotive 218.378-8, passes through the foothills of the Bavarian Alps after leaving the Martinszell(Allgäu) station. This locomotive was made in 1975 by Henschel (s/n 31836), belonged to the Kaserslautern depot and served with DB until December 24, 2005, when it was withdrawn at the Lübeck depot. It came to an end in a scrap yard in the summer of 2015
